Shandong Martial Art Troupe Made A Hit in Nigeria

On August 2, Shandong Liangshan Martial Art Troupe of China made its debut at the International Conference Center (ICC) in Abuja. Mr. Wang Yongqiu, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Ogbuewu, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Nigeria, Mr. El-Rufai, Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Mr. Adeniji, Foreign Minister, made their presence among 1,000 Nigerian and Chinese audiences00 at ICC.

Ambassador Wang, Mr. Ogbuewu and Mr. El-Rufai delivered their speeches respectively, appraising highly cultural exchanges between China and Nigeria and expressing their best wishes for the success of the Shandong Martial Art Troupe in Nigeria.

The visiting Chinese martial art troupe was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of FCT and the Chinese Embassy, co-sponsored by the Foreign Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Abuja Art and Culture Commission. The average age of the performers is 17 years old, the youngest member only 12. From August 4 to August 7, the troupe visited Lagos where it gave another two shows.
